Event Branding & Promotional Design

This project involves designing promotional materials for chef-led dinners, cultural events, and community gatherings hosted at Heermance Events at 183, an event space in New York’s West Village operated by Heermance Farm, as well as various other freelance event posters. Working with guest chefs, muscians, and event partners, I create visual materials that promote each event across digital and physical platforms. These include invitations, social media graphics, Eventbrite event listings, and printed menus used during the dinners themselves. Each event requires a tailored visual approach while still aligning with the broader identity of the venue.

Brief

The events hosted at Heermance Events at 183 range from chef collaborations to nonprofit gatherings and wellness programming. Because each event has a different tone and audience, the promotional materials must adapt visually while still feeling connected to the venue’s overall aesthetic. The challenge was designing graphics that could communicate the personality of each event—whether a chef-driven dinner, a nonprofit fundraiser, or a wellness gathering—while maintaining a cohesive visual language across marketing channels.

Process/Solution

EVENT IDENTITY & PROMOTION: For each event, I design promotional graphics used across social media and ticketing platforms such as Eventbrite. These visuals introduce the event, highlight participating chefs or hosts, and communicate key information including date, time, and location. The goal is to create imagery that captures the atmosphere of the event while remaining clear and readable across digital formats.

PRINTED MATERIALS & GUEST EXPERIENCE: In addition to digital promotion, I design printed materials used during the events themselves. These include menus for chef-led dinners and other printed collateral that guests interact with during the evening. The printed pieces extend the visual identity of the event into the physical environment, helping create a cohesive experience from online promotion through the event itself.

DESIGN ACROSS DIFFERENT EVENT TYPES: The events hosted at the space range widely in subject and tone. Some focus on culinary collaborations with guest chefs, while others center around community initiatives and nonprofit partnerships. Design work for the space has supported events connected to organizations such as God’s Love We Deliver, as well as wellness-focused programming and community gatherings. Each event required adapting the design approach to suit the context while maintaining consistency with the venue’s overall visual identity.

Outcome

The promotional materials help communicate the diverse programming hosted at Heermance Events at 183 while creating visually cohesive experiences for guests. By combining digital marketing graphics with printed event materials, the design work supports the promotion and presentation of chef collaborations, nonprofit events, and cultural programming hosted at the space.

I designed and prepared branded invitations, menus, and detail cards for two different events for Celebrity Chef Amanda freitag. these graphics were utilized for print and social media promotion.

Chef Justin Smillie

I was contracted to create multiple graphics for Chef Justin Smillie x Slowfires Pop Up dinner. The deliverables included an evenbrite header graphic, social media graphic, menu for print, and multiple posters with detailed information that were posted around the city for promotional purposes.
